Separate accidents claimed the lives of two Jones Countians over the weekend as a former football standout died in a one-car accident and a man was killed while planting watermelons.
A former West Jones High School football player and father of a 3-year-old son died early Sunday morning in a one-car wreck on Highway 84 West near Graves Road.
