Will New World have controller support when the game properly releases on Aug 31, or can you even use a controller now during the final moments of the closed beta?

Will New World Have Controller Support?
Unfortunately, New World does not have any type of official controller support as of now during the closed beta, or when the game is fully released at the end of August.
Your best bet for playing New World with a controller would be using a third-party software like JoyToKey or ReWASD, software that allows you to remap keyboard inputs into controller inputs.
MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV have fully supported console versions, and the ability to play with controller on the PC versions more easily, although it's unclear if Amazon will take New World in this direction.
As of now, there is no official controller support for New World, meaning you must use a third-party software to set up controllers in New World. It remains to be seen how effective these programs will be, but it's worth a shot if a controller is your preference.
