The Smash Summit 5 is turning out to be the biggest Summit, simply due to the players wanting to attend. It is a Super Smash Bros. Melee event where all the top players get together and play with various rules and crews.
Recently, Aziz "Hax" Al-Yami made a post on Twitter regarding why he wanted to go to the Smash Summit.
Hax used to be one of the best Fox players in the world, but due to a calcified FCU tendon in his hand causing him extreme pain, he was unable to play. He underwent surgery last year, and with the help of the B0XX, a new controller he made specifically for Melee, he is slowly returning to the scene.
He is also having a sweepstakes for a chance at the Summit.
Hax is currently ranked 93rd, according to the Smash Boards, but that is mostly because he has been on a hiatus for the previous two years.
He mentioned in his TwitLonger post that the hardest part of all of it was trying to learn the game and how to play Fox again. There was controversy over his controller and how it allowed an advantage of certain moves.
Hax responded to those thoughts by saying he was constantly tweaking and improving the B0XX.
