I had few GIF images in my data since Windows XP, in Windows XP, I was able to see the moving GIF images but since I upgraded to Widnows 7, they turned into still images and not the moving ones. Why?

If you don't want to download anything, opening in a browser is a good way to go (in fact, the default on my system is to open .gif files with Internet Explorer, even though Chrome is my default browser..). If you don't mind using another file viewer, try out IrfanView (). Hopefully in future versions of Windows, there will be support for animated gifs.
