Why does new GMail have both 'Mail' and 'Inbox'? What is the significance? Clicking on either gives the same result.

Along with 'Contacts' and 'Tasks' it's a link to switch from one sidebar view to another. To see what I mean try switching from 'Contacts' to 'Mail'. You will notice that when you click on 'Contacts' you see a 'New Contact' button and several contact-related folders below it. Per default, the 'My Contacts' folder is opened. When you click on 'Mail', the button will switch to 'Compose mail' and the folders you see below it are all related to your mail. The default folder shown is your 'Inbox'.Does that answer your question? Saumil 2010-08-13 05:18:00 yes
