I have been using zamzar.com each week to convert recordings using my Android phone. I converted MP3 files for sharing with others.
Sometimes it takes a while to get the file back, so I'd like a simple (maybe even free) program to do it on my computer myself. I saw a note that suggested all I needed to do was change the file extension, but that doesn't work for me. Anyone know of a simple converter? Editing the file is optional, but would be nice for length issues only.

Using zamzar [which has been timing out on me lately] last time, I got myself confused and ended up losing one in a series. My mistake, so not faulting zamzar per se. This route will be safer for me.
