What is 'Bloom' in Halo Reach? This question has suddenly appeared when Halo Reach was added to the Master Chief Collection and to PC.

Throwing it way back to 2011, a great game in the Halo series, Halo Reach, has been a topic point as of recent. Why are people talking about this eight year old game? Because fans are critiquing a thing called 'bloom'.

What is 'Bloom' in Halo Reach?

Bloom is when the player continually fires and the reticle line of sight slowly becomes larger. This makes the player's shots become less and less accurate. The players' accuracy then drops, and the bullets being sprayed are more at random.

The only way to get around this is to fire your shots in sequences, meaning you shouldn't hold down the trigger button and instead keep tapping the button so the reticle doesn't become larger. Using your DMR or pistol, firing in sequences will get you to your goals of defeating the enemy with better accuracy.

There is no way to turn off weapon bloom, not even in the settings. The best way to get around bloom is to practice with each weapon and determine how many shots you can take before weapon bloom begins to happen. Keep track of how big the reticle gets after firing a few shots, and you will be on your way to avoiding weapon bloom.
