EA SPORTS had temporarily disabled Ultimate Team match creation in FIFA 20, preventing players from playing FUT Rivals and other games, but have now resolved the problem.

There are a number of ways to play online in FUT 20, including Drafts, Online Friendlies, FUT Rivals and more, all of which were suspended for a period of around three hours due to a connectivity issue.

Players logging into the game mode on March 25 might have thought there was a problem with the EA servers, stopping them from going up against opponents online. The game’s developers  released a statement on the problem following a flood of fan comments on social media, responding accordingly.

In an official statement, posted to their FIFA Direct Communication account on Twitter, they said: “FUT match creation has been temporarily disabled while we investigate a connectivity issue,” instructing players to hang fire while they get it sorted out.

There was initially no timeframe put on the fix for connectivity problems, although having responded to the issue on social media, it was only a matter of time before a fix was found. Now, players should be able to carry on as normal on FUT.

Update:

Match creation has been re-enabled, thanks everyone for your patience.

If you are still having troubles connecting to FUT or experiencing unusual ping, try restarting the game.
