The hitscan DPS role is the flashiest position in Overwatch. Whether it's sick McCree flicks, flying Widowmaker headshots or smooth-as-silk Tracer tracking, hitscan virtually bleeds style. Plus, on top of all that swagger is the ability to singlehandedly turn a fight around or create crucial openings for teammates.
Now that the Overwatch League's regular season has come to a close, here are the top five hitscan DPS players in the Overwatch League.
5. Surefour
When Chan-hyung "Fissure" Baekas joined the Los Angeles Gladiators in Stage 2, the entire Gladiators roster seemed to level up. The flashiest upgrade of all, however, went to Lane "Surefour" Roberts, who quickly became one of the best Widowmakers in the league.
4. LiNkzr
Jiri "LiNkzr" Masalin has always been one of the best counter snipers in Overwatch, and he proved that from day one with the Houston Outlaws. Thanks to his league-leading 10.42 final blows per 10 minutes according to Winston's Lab, every team in the playoffs is breathing a sigh of relief they don't need to face him.
3. Saebyolbe
On a team as stacked as the New York Excelsior, most players would find it hard to stand out. Jong-yeol "Saebyeolbe" Park never had that problem.
Sporting what might be the best Tracer in the world and a nigh invincible Widowmaker, Saebyolbe's clutch knew no end for the monolithic NYXL.
2. Pine
The Big Boss himself, Do-hyeon "Pine" Kim is a living highlight reel. From his first hard carry on Ilios to his wild flank on Junkertown, this hitscan god just doesn't know when to quit. On Widowmaker, McCree and Tracer, he ranks in the top three for final blows per 10 minutes.
If you see the Big Boss coming for you, hide your head.
1. Carpe
Jae-hyeok "Carpe" Lee is a frontrunner for Season 1 MVP league-wide, and with good reason. His Widowmaker earned the second-most final blows per 10 even as it held the third best death rate in the league; his Tracer ranks third in final blows per 10 with the second fewest deaths; even his McCree pulls its weight with a whopping first place in final blows per 10.
As hitscan heroes, Carpe is death incarnate. Just watch his Lijiang Market highlight and you'll know. Carpe is the Truth.
