League of Legends is an internet phenomenon. It's the most played video game on Earth, and it's esports scene is humongous. 

That much success can't help but breed memes. There are many LoL memes out there, but these are the top 10.

10. Don't Chase Singed

This is an old meme, arguably as old as the game itself. However, it has the most truthful bearings of any of the memes on this list and is incredibly simple. 

Don't. Chase. Singed.

Singed's kit has not changed whatsoever since the inception of the game. He presses Q, leaves it on, and makes you chase him. If you do, though, you'll probably die doing so. Don't get greedy and don't chase singed!

9. Ocelote Crying

Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez Santiago was the midlaner for SK Gaming and was regarded as an equal to Enrique "xPeke" Cedeño Martínez.

However he had a habit of showing his emotions whenever they lost an important game, or just lost in general. Thus, many people make fun of ocelote by exaggerating his emotional showcases when they die or miss a ward in a brush.

8. Better Nerf Irelia

Now this meme I do not quite understand as Irelia has been nerfed and changed very little. I guess the nerfs they did give her were back to back and so this meme was born.

Invisibility is a problem because control ward doesn't counter it anymore? Better nerf Irelia.

Your jungler won't gank your lane? Better nerf Irelia.

Redemption too strong? Hey, how about an Irelia nerf instead?

7. Scarra Ward

William "Scarra" Li was the best midlaner in North America for the 2013 season but still got plenty of eyes pointed at him for his amazing plays before that.

Some of his solo queue moments did not reflect his prowess, especially the moment where the "Scarra ward" was born.

If you go into the dragon pit, you are able to sneakily place a ward in the tri brush. Scarra can't exactly do it in this video, though. Take a look and experience the meme magic.

6. CLG's Strategy Wheel

Former coach of Counter Logic Gaming, Christopher "Montecristro" Mykles, decided to take a huge jab at his own team by coming up with the strategy wheel.

If you wanted every CLG meme you can think of in one strategy wheel, this is the video for you. 

5. BY FAR!

Konstantinos "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou is Greeks best player and arguably one of the best players that Europe has spawned for LoL. 

He is a passionate player that wants to win by any means and takes the game incredibly seriously. When asked if he thinks he is the most skilled botlane player he simply states, "By far." 

Why or how this became a meme is unclear but it spawned countless Twitch spams whenever someone spouted the phrase, "By far."

4. Summoners Code

One of my personal favorite memes and sites in general, summonerscode.com, is a marvelous website that takes some of the dumbest or funniest chats that people have had in LoL.

If you want to see someone roast a team mate to a crisp or simply want to laugh at the nonsense spouted between team mates, this is the site for you.

3. Pro as Heck Guide to Master Yi

Now this meme is old but it's just as good as ever. The Pro as Heck Guide to Master Yi is a complete parody of every single guide to jungling/champion X/role/etc, you can think of.

The ending montage is the best part of the video and is a staple meme for a lot of Pro as Heck Guides to X champion spin offs that the internet has spawned. 

2. Everyone Else is Trash

We all know Yilang "Doublelift" Peng is one of North Americas greatest talents. He's been praised by thousands and constantly shows his worth on any team, even Team SoloMid.

However, back when he played on Counter Logic Gaming, he had a certain mindset where he believed he really was just so much better than everyone else. Thus spawned the "Everyone else is trash meme."

1. ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ RAISE YOUR DONGERSヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ

The ultimate League of Legends meme in my book, the "Raise your Dongers" meme spawned from the Twitch channel of Michael "Imaqtpie" Santana. 

His incredible Heimerdinger gameplay spawned the meme when his Twitch chat spammed it on his channel, then to other channels, then to forums and message boards, and eventually the meme just started a life of its own.

It's reach has transcended Imaqtpie and Twitch. I have seen it a few times printed out in real life as well. This truly was one of the dankest memes to come from LoL
