Tom Skinner Obituary, Death Cause – On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 11:00 am, a Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio, Michigan. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Fr. Ken Coughlin will preside over the ceremony. The cremation will take place after the funeral, and the ashes will be interred at a later time in the New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will be present at the O’Guinn Funeral Home in Clio on Monday, December 11th, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.

Please join them for this momentous occasion. The 15th of February, 1932 found Tom Skinner being born in Flint, Michigan. He was the son of Ted Skinner and Mary McEvoy Skinner. Throughout the majority of his life, he called Clio his home. He was a resident of Genesee County. Having completed his high school education at St. Mary’s, he went on to pursue his education at the University of Michigan Flint.

At the same time, Tom served in the Army and was stationed in Korea between the years 1953 and 1954. Over the course of thirty-one years, he was a teacher and coach at the schools of St. Agnes, Powers, Holy Rosary, and St. Roberts. His retirement was followed by a period of twelve years spent working at the Flint Auto Auction. Tom was predeceased in death by his wife, Mary McGovern Skinner, as well as his wife, Doris Sulfaro Skinner; his parents, Ted and Mary Skinner; his sisters, Alice Lethbridge

Joan Varga, and Dorothy Acheson; his son, Tom Skinner Jr.; and his devoted companion, Goldie. His children, Susan Randall, Nancy Sather (Bill), Mary Fran (Brian), Joe Skinner (Debbie), and John Skinner (Lisa), as well as his grandchildren Jennifer Deibert, Jeremy Juhl, Thomas Purdy, Laura Castle, Andrew Juhl, Madison Haller, and Caitlin Sather, as well as ten great-grandchildren, are among those who are still alive. Doris’ four children and her grandchildren are also among those who are still alive.
