Adam Devine, who has a signature smooth-to-smarmy thing that works for him, is coming to the Coral Springs Center for the Arts on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
Most people might know Devine from the Comedy Central television show “Workaholics,” which he not only stars in but also co-created and co-writes. Devine has a recurring role as a “manny” on the ABC series “Modern Family.” On the big screen he has appeared in “The Intern” with Anne Hathaway and Robert DeNiro, “Pitch Perfect 2” with Rebel Wilson, “Why Him?” with James Franco and Bryan Cranston, and “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” with Zac Efron. Devine has two feature films scheduled for next year, “Isn’t It Romantic” (again with Wilson) and “Magic Camp.”
The comedic actor has an endorsement deal with Captain Morgan where his title is “chief party officer” for the rum brand. In addition to collaborating with the company on content, he will push Captain Morgan on social media and appear at events. He is also in the brand’s ongoing “Live Like a Captain” campaign in various 15-second spots for digital and TV.
