Eight adrenaline seekers got more than what they bargained for at Santa’s Enchanted Forest at Tropical park in South Miami-Dade Thursday night, reports The Miami Herald.

The amusement park visitors now have a story to tell after two cars on The Crazy Mouse Rollercoaster ride got stuck up high for about 30 minutes.

“They had fun coming down,” Miami-Dade Firefighter Capt. Eric Baum told the Herald. “It’s not every day you get to climb down a firefighter’s truck ladder.”

The car was stuck on the top of the upper track,” said Baum. “We positioned an aerial ladder by the car. Lt. Fernandez climbed up, spoke with the people and put on a harness for their safety — just in case they freaked out on their way down.”

It took Lt. Rafael Fernandez about 15 minutes to hook each of them up, and help them climb down the ladder.

“They told him it was like they were getting in a different ride,” said Baum. “Good thing is no one was hurt.”
