Publisher Kepler Interactive and A44 have announced their next project to be Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. A44 Games is most known for their 2018 action-RPG Ashen, which had some huge similarities to the Dark Souls series. It appears that Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will be an open-world action-RPG with much more lifelike visual styles this time.

When Does Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Release?
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn's specific release date has not been revealed yet, but it will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC sometime later in 2022. It will also release on Xbox Game Pass Day 1.
Developer A44 describes the story as "The door to the Afterlife has been opened, allowing the old god’s army of the undead to escape from within. Join Nor Vanek, a member of the coalition army, and her mystical companion Enki, a strange creature gifted with magical powers, as they pursue their personal vendetta against the gods." According to A44, it seems that there will be "desert sands, cavernous ruins and towering cities filled with secrets" to explore in the open world.
Although not a lot of information about the game has been released yet, the brief glimpses at what the game has to offer has fans excited.
