Four Knights of the Apocalypse, the sequel manga to The Seven Deadly Sins series, will be getting an anime adaptation.
This was revealed on the cover art for this year's 24th edition of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine on Amazon.
As at the time of writing, 59 chapters for Four Knights Of The Apocalypse have been released and are ready to be adapted. If the first season of the sequel anime consists of 12 episodes, the 59 chapters should be enough to cover the season and prevent the anime from catching up with the manga.
Four Knights Of The Apocalypse was first released on January 27, 2021 and has been serialized on Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The story is set 16 years after the events of Seven Deadly Sins and follows a new protagonist named Percival.
A manga getting an anime announcement only a year after it first released is a rare occurrence but given the popularity of the franchise, it's no surprise that the creators would want to capitalise on the hype.
The Seven Deadly Sins anime ended in 2021 and fans are sure to be ecstatic to hear that a sequel is coming. However, the release date for this planned sequel has not been announced.
