In a Mickey Minute, it ended.
The Disney Store at Coral Square mall in Coral Springs locked the doors for good Saturday, joining several other Disney retail stores across the state, including in Brandon and Jacksonville.
A Disney spokeswoman said the store was “one of a very small number of stores not renewing a lease” but would not provide specifics or say why.
The retail shops — an extension of the theme park — sold all things magical-themed, including pajamas, T-shirts, toys, backpacks, costumes and stuffies.
Broward’s only remaining Disney Store is in the Pembroke Lakes Mall in Pembroke Pines.
Last year, Disney announced it was looking for new ways to reach customers as traffic declined at malls.
In a partnership, Disney and Target said they would open 25 Disney-branded stores within Target stores in late 2019, with 40 additional locations opening by October 2020.
The spokeswoman declined to say Tuesday whether plans were still on track.
