Texas de Brazil Churrascaria

2606 Sawgrass Mills Circle, Unit 1301B, Sunrise, 954-800-4200, TexasDeBrazil.com

This international Dallas-based chain, founded in 1998, has opened its 50th Brazilian steakhouse in the renovated Oasis area of Sawgrass Mills.

The rodizio-style dining offers 15 charcoal-grilled meats carved tableside from skewers, such as Brazilian sausage and picanha, bacon-wrapped chicken breast and Parmesan-crusted pork loin, plus a 50-item salad bar with goat-cheese terrine, lobster bisque and charcuterie.

Ten desserts ($9.50) include Brazilian cheesecake, coconut chess pie, papaya cream and bananas Foster pie. And 10 cocktails ($12) feature Diamante Passion Fruit Margarita and Knob Creek Texas Belle with whiskey, strawberry puree, orange juice and vermouth.

“We are often considered a destination restaurant, as many of our diners come to celebrate special occasions, but Sawgrass Mills offers a wealth of shopping options, so many diners will be there for that purpose,” owner Salim Asrawi says.
