Sugar Sand has camp openings

There’s still time to get in on two half-day summer camp programs at Sugar Sand Park.

There are openings for Kids in Action! for ages 8 to 12 from July 18 to 22. Activities will include yoga, theater games and routines, aerobics, team games, hip hop, musical theater, Zumbatomic gymnastics, and arts and crafts. Some are indoors and outdoors.

Hours are 1 to 5:30 p.m. and the cost is $75 for residents, $93.75 for nonresidents with a $5 discount per session for each sibling.

The young writers’ camp for ages 9 to 12 is being offered from 1 to 4 p.m. July 25 through 28 and includes writing stories, books, poems, fairy tales, scripts and songs. The cost is $200 for residents and $250 for nonresidents.

Resident fees include people who live outside the city limits but inside the boundaries of the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District, which extends west to Florida’s Turnpike.
