Shyann Malone Career
Upon graduation, Shyann moved to Atlanta, where she landed a career in pharmaceutical sales. It was a successful one but it was at this time that she realized that something was missing. Determined to follow her passion, Malone entered the news world and began a new career in broadcast journalism.
She launched her television career working as an intern at WSB-TV in Atlanta and accepted her first shot as a 5 p.m. anchor in Greenville, Mississippi. There she covered the great historic flood of the Mississippi River, which forced thousands out of their homes and made national headlines.
Shyann then moved on to WACH in Columbia, South Carolina. She worked there as a weekend evening anchor while reporting during the week. Shyann covered a wide range of stories in the capital city, from politics to military homecomings and everything in between.
That news experience took Shyann to Tampa, where she worked as an anchor and morning reporter at the CBS affiliate. Malone joined the Local 10 News team in April 2015 as a weekend evening anchor.
