The Brittle Crown can be redeemed at a Newt Altar for a number of Lunar coins. It can also be granted randomly by a Lunar Pod for the cost of a single Lunar Coin.   

The Brittle Crown grants the user a 30 percent chance to gain three gold when they hit a target. This ability can stack, with each addition adding another three gold. But like all Lunar items, there is a significant downside. For the Crown, the player loses gold equal to the amount of damage they are hit for OR loses gold equal to the percent of their maximum health that the player loses. Whichever of these criteria are greater will be applied to the player. Thus, the Brittle Crown is definitely a greedy item. Optimally, players will use it on a rapid-fire weapon as to quickly gain gold, while also being mobile enough to avoid damage.
