WESTON
An accident at a construction site on Wednesday caused a propane gas leak that forced the evacuation of about 20 workers, according to the Broward County Fire Department.
No one was injured at the site at 2950 S. Corporate Lakes Blvd.
The leak occurred just after 9 a.m. when a tool dropped by a roofer fell on a 500-pound propane tank, shearing off its valve, Fire Department spokesman Todd LeDuc said.
Workers were evacuated until the leak was tapped and the tank removed from the site, LeDuc said.
