Kyle Edison, SG, St. John Paul II Academy senior: The reigning Sun Sentinel 5A-1A player of the year helped the Eagles stun St. Andrew’s 58-53 in overtime for the district title last season and averaged 16.2 points, 8 rebounds, and three steals while playing every position on the court.

This is his fifth year on varsity and said he was happy to come to the school and lead the team last year. He averaged 11 points 8.5 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and 2.2 blocks per game.

Helped Dwyer reach the state title game two years ago and the regional semifinals last year where they fell 68-65 to the eventual Class 6A state champion Martin County.

Calvin Sirmans, PG, Lake Worth senior: Last year’s Sun Sentinel 7A-6A player of the year helped the Trojans reach the state semifinals where they fell to the eventual state champion Miami Columbus. Sirmans, who hopes to attend Albany State, averaged 17.1 points, 5.4 assists, 3 rebounds per game, and 2.8 assists.

Being recruited by UCF, Rutgers University, Syracuse University, Utah State and Texas A&M. Had a career-high 29 points last year versus North Broward Prep. Said proudest moments last season were helping his team break the school’s scoring record and getting 8 steals in one game.
