This 38-year-old landmark seafood restaurant has refreshed its food and cocktails at its downstairs Fisheries Dockside, following the remodeling of its bar this past fall. The area will be upgraded to match the updated lobby with classier colors, string lights and nautical accents.
“It has been a persistent dream of the owners and that of the late general manager, Carlos Rives, to bring a dramatic bar area,” new general manager Albert Cacace says. “Aqua Waterfront Bar is now one of the most exciting elements. Views of the waterway and marina activity are framed by stunning new decor and a glowing bar top that emulates an underwater scene.”
Flip-flop-casual guests can try the new fried Blue Point oysters ($14), pressed turkey sandwich with bacon ($12), fried shrimp tacos ($17) and skirt steak with chimichurri ($25).
The Hala Kahiki with pineapple vodka, white cranberry juice and foam and edible flower is a top choice among the nearly 25 new cocktails ($11-$15).
Ladies night has kicked off on Thursdays with drink specials. First-ever food discounts, such as duck pot stickers ($6), have debuted during weekday happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to close.
