Missing Deja Hood, Death Cause – In a somber turn of events, Tyler, Texas, finds itself in the midst of a heartbreaking investigation as authorities have discovered the lifeless body of 18-year-old Deja Hood. Deja had been reported missing by her distraught mother just the day before this grim discovery. According to Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer Andy Erbaugh, the tragic incident unfolded when a concerned welfare call prompted a police officer to investigate the wooded area behind Hollytree Apartments on Hollytree Drive. It was here that they made the heartbreaking discovery of Deja’s lifeless body.
Erbaugh shared that the last known location where Deja was seen was within the vicinity of the apartment complex, reportedly with a male companion. Concerningly, conflicting accounts arose regarding her last known whereabouts from this individual. Consequently, a thorough investigation was launched. In the course of their investigative efforts, authorities spent several hours at the scene when one of their sergeants made the distressing discovery of Deja’s body, wrapped in cloth, behind one of the apartment buildings.
Given the condition in which Deja Hood’s body was found, authorities suspect foul play and have officially launched a homicide investigation.
