A man buying a candy bar at a convenience store on Thursday pulled out a gun and robbed the store.
“The Candyman,” as Broward sheriff’s deputies call him, cocked his gun at the clerk and said, “Give me all the money.” The cashier handed over the cash drawer, and the man fled from the Speedway store at 3180 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd., said Broward sheriff’s spokesman Kirk Englehardt.
The gunman drove off in a green four-door Kia with no license tag. He was wearing a light-blue shirt with a stripe across the middle, denim shorts and a red visor. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
