Justicar Aatrox first went live in mid-2018 when Riot Games reworked the demonic champion, but you'd be forgiven for thinking Riot Games just re-released it.
The new Victorious Aatrox skin, previewed for the first time on the League of Legends Twitter account Thursday, bears a striking resemblance to the older skin. Fans reacted negatively almost immediately, accusing Riot Games of a lazy re-skin.

"Prestige is ugly but somehow is better than this," user @Lycan_Len wrote on Twitter.
"You guys are giving away JUSTICAR AATROX FOR FREE?!?!" wrote @UWUKedlin. "OMG !!! THANKS RITO!!!"
The two skins do share a similar color scheme, leaning on gold, white and blue as their main colors. Their differences are more apparent in the in-game models, but a certain level of resemblance persists regardless.
Riot Games has yet to respond to fans' complaints. Victorious Aatrox will be awarded to League of Legends players when the 2019 season comes to a close, provided they've reached a rank of gold or higher in Summoners Rift Solo, Summoners Rift Flex, or Twisted Treeline. Players who reach that mark in two or more ranked queues will unlock a bonus chroma.
