YOLO Restaurant & O Lounge, owned and operated by The Restaurant People, is scheduled to open Sept. 23 at 333 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale 954-523-1000. YOLO, which stands for You Only Live Once, will be an elegant yet comfortable restaurant with two bars, garden patio and lounge. Flavor Palm Beach takes a page from the Miami Spice and Dine Out Lauderdale promotions with more than 20 Palm Beach County restaurants offering discounted three-course meals during the month of September. Lemongrass Asian Bistro is set to open Sept. 10 at 101 Plaza Real S., Boca Raton, 561-544-8181, next to Chops Lobster Bar in Royal Palm Place. The Lemongrass menu is a combination of Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese. Ocean Prime, which calls itself a modern American supper club, has opened at Aventura Mall, 19501 Biscayne Blvd., 305-931-5400, ocean-prime.com. The menu is primarily seafood with prime beef filling out the edges. It’s owned by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, which operates 11 concepts nationwide, including Cameron’s American Bistro, Cap City Fine Diner & Bar, Martini Italian Bistro, M, Molly Woo’s Asian Bistro and Marcella’s.
The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, 19999 W. Country Club Drive, Aventura, 305-933-6902, now has a full operational kosher kitchen for banquets and other events.
Domino’s, the pizza giant, has added oven-baked sandwiches to its menu. The company wants a piece of the $21.2 billion non-burger sandwich market with its Philly Cheese Steak and Chicken Bacon Ranch offerings.
