Mrs. G, the Storybook Lady, will entertain youngsters from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 4 at William B. Armstrong Dream Park, 1700 NW 160th Ave.

The storyteller uses interactive activities to bring her stories alive for children of all ages. Admission is free.

Nova center surpasses library card milestone

The Nova Southeastern University Library, Research and Information Technology Center announced that it recently surpassed a milestone by giving out more than 10,000 library cards to Broward County residents since it opened last December.

Nature center offers aquarium program

Spend the day after Christmas exploring the Anne Kolb Nature Center’s 3,500-gallon saltwater aquarium.

The center, in West Lake Park at 751 Sheridan St., Hollywood, will present the program, “Aquarium: Behind the Scenes,” for people of all ages from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday.

The cost is $2 for people 13 and older, $1.50 for youths ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and younger.
