Elden Ring is holding a closed network test in November, giving fans a chance to play through the opening hours of the game months before its official release. The test is limited to consoles, leaving PC players out in the cold. Here's what you need to know about the test, including how to sign up.

Elden Ring Closed Network Test: How to Sign Up
Bandai Namco announced the closed network test Tuesday.
"Selected fans will be able to experience the opening hours of the long-awaited title to get a hands-on glimpse at what the full game will have to offer while assisting the development team in testing the game's online servers ahead of its release date," reads the description from the publisher.
The test will be playable throughout the weekend of Nov. 12-15 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S according to the following schedule:
- Nov. 12: 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET
- Nov. 13: 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET
- Nov. 13: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET
- Nov. 14: 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET
- Nov. 15: 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET
Players can sign up for the test on the Bandai Namco website. Registration closes Nov. 1, and voucher codes will be emailed prior to the start of the tests, though Bandai Namco doesn't say exactly when.
