Does Animal Crossing New Horizons End?

There is no true ending in Animal Crossing New Horizons. The game will only truly end when you decide to stop playing. However, there are many achievements to complete for your island to seem finished.

Things to Do in Animal Crossing New Horizons

1. Watch the Credits

After your island reaches three stars and K.K. Slider visits, the credits for the game will roll.

2. Five Star Island

Getting your island to five stars has many rewards including Lily of the Valley, and the DIY recipe for the Golden Watering Can.

3. Fill the Museum

Many players focus on catching every single type of fish and bug to put in the museum. The museum also requires art from Redd and fossils.

4. Get All the Golden Tools

Every golden tool has a different requirement to receive it, but they are all intentionally difficult.

5. Finish the Catalog

This requires you to have held every single item in the game from music to furniture to wallpaper and flooring. You don't need to own them to do this, but you need to have owned them at one point in time.

6. Complete All Nook Miles Achievements

There are a total of 83 different Nook Miles Achievements and many have multiple levels of rewards. These achievements cover all different aspects of gameplay from fainting to selling shells.

7. Play Every Holiday

This will require at least one year of gameplay if you are not time-skipping, but that doesn't account for the special events Nintendo continues to add as time goes on.

Since it is unclear when Nintendo will stop adding new things to the game, the game still has no end in sight.
