Cobi Jones is a well-known former American soccer player and commentator. Currently, he serves as an analyst for MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Previously, he served for MLB club LA Galaxy on Time Warner Cable SportsNet as an analyst. He also appeared on the Totally Football Show: American Edition as host and on the Pac-12 Network, Fox Sports, and BeIN Sports.

Additionally, he played from 1994 to 2007 as a midfielder, starting his career in England with Premier League club Coventry City, the United States national team, LA Galaxy, and Vasco da Gama. Also, he worked at LA Galaxy as interim head coach and assistant coach.

Cobi took part in the 1994 World Cup held in the United States, later for one season he was with the English team the Coventry City of the Premier League, After Vasco da Gama’s impressive performances in the 1995 Copa America, he joined them. Furthermore, after some months, he signed a contract for Major League Soccer’s inaugural season with the new Los Angeles Galaxy.

He played from 1996 to 2007 at the LA Galaxy. He scored 19 goals and 13 assists in 1998 and was named to the MLS Best XI and also U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year. He retired from MLS with 306 appearances and 70 goals on October 21, 2007.

Additionally, he played from 1992 to 2004 with ES national team with 164 caps and scoring 15 goals. He also took part in the 1994, 1998, and 2002 FIFA World Cups and was titled the best XI at the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup after winning the 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Also, in the 1992 Summer Olympics, he represented his team in Barcelona and played in the 1995 Copa America.

On March 11, 2011, he was chosen for induction into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. On November 9, 2007, he worked as an assistant coach at LA Galaxy, then he served as an interim head coach in 2018 until the team hired Bruce Arena former U.S. national team to be a head coach.
