The Chick-fil-A crowd will be waiting in Deerfield Beach.
The fast-food chain says it will open at 3648 W. Hillsboro Blvd., probably in September.
Chick-fil-A openings attract throngs of fans hoping to win a year of free meals, the prize given to the first 100 customers in line. Many of them camp out for hours with tents, TVs and gaming systems.
Chick-fil-A opened another restaurant in December at 2650 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.
The restaurant, known for chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, will employ about 80 people. It is among 88 restaurants the Atlanta-based chain plans to open across the country this year.
The upcoming Deerfield Beach location is set to feature drive-thru service, patio dining and an indoor play area for children.
The family-owned, privately held company has more than 1,900 restaurants in 41 states and Washington, D.C. The company says it generated $5 billion in sales in 2013.
