Three people with guns raided the Five Guys restaurant in the 1000 block of North Congress Avenue on Sunday night, said Stephanie Slater, spokeswoman for the Boynton Beach Police Department. They ambushed an employee taking out the trash, rounded up the four other workers and stuck them in the restaurant’s refrigerator, she said. She said the trio then fled with three cash register drawers.

They didn’t get far.

Officer Mark Sohn noticed a speeding Nissan Altima that ran a stop sign. Slater said investigators found cash and four handguns, one of them stolen, in the car.

Police arrested Junior Amose Luberisse, 18, and two 17-year-olds on five counts of armed robbery and false imprisonment and one count of carrying a concealed firearm. Slater said Luberisse used to work at the restaurant.
