She previously worked as a morning news reporter for NBC15 in Madison. She covered unprecedented flooding in south-central Wisconsin, riots at the Capitol in response to the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, and a terrible explosion in Sun Prairie while working for NBC15. In addition, she received a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association award for ‘Best Live On-Scene Reporting’ in 2020.
She went and graduated from Marquette University, and while there, she interned at six different television stations. She also worked for the Marquette University Television Station (MUTV) as an anchor, reporter, and assistant executive news producer.In addition, she was nominated for a Collegiate Emmy and awarded a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Award for ‘Best News Writing’ for her coverage of the Marquette mumps outbreak. Additionally, she worked as an investigative reporter on the “Purple River Project” for PBS Wisconsin during her senior year, where she covered the switch in political parties in small towns in rural Wisconsin from Democrat to Republican.
She was a member of Marquette University’s Lambda Pi Eta Communications Honor Society, Sigma Kappa, and the Marquette University Cheerleading Squad while still in college. Her hometown is Kansas City. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, discovering new restaurants in Milwaukee, riding her bike, and rooting for her favorite sports teams.
