Popular trading card game (TCG) ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters’ is collaborating with Adidas to bring fans exclusive style wear. Spotted by Modern Notoriety, the collab sports iconic characters from the series on various footwear.

Adidas chose two footwear models from the Y2K era for this collaboration, a nod to how Yu-Gi-Oh! took the world by storm in the early 2000s. The first is the Reptossage, an obscure slide silhouette first released in 1999 with an eye-catching thermoplastic rubber (TPR) footbed, an EVA outsole, and a Velcro closure. The straps of one pair feature Seto Kaiba and Blue Eyes White Dragon, while the straps of the other pair feature Yami Yugi and Dark Magician.
The second design is the ADI2000, a new silhouette that was inspired by the bulky skate shoes of the early 2000s. These are also available in the "Dark Magician" and "Blue Eyes" colorways.
The former has a Millenium Puzzle graphic and the words "Dark Magic!!" on the tongues, whereas the latter feature a Kaiba Corp logo and the words "Burst Stream!!" on the tongues. Each of these footwear options comes in unique packaging and with a tag featuring a different Exodia piece.
There is no word on when Yu-Gi-Oh x Adidas will be available, but the street date for these kicks is 2022. There is no pricing information available, but given Adidas's current price point, fans can expect to pay a Benjamin for these kicks.
