League of Legends has written lore stories for their champions as a way for players to understand the background of the champion. However, the old lore for all the champions have changed and new lore has taken over.

Listed below are the five lore stories that have drastically changed since the beginning.

5. Graves

The old Graves was a conman back in Bilgewater and would go around hustling people for money. He met Twisted Fate, a conman of his equal, and the two hustled people together. During one fail con, Twisted Fate sold out Graves which ended up putting Graves in jail. Graves' ultimate goal was to get revenge on Twisted Fate.

The new Graves was a wanted man. He was still a duo with Twisted Fate and the two swindled everything they could. One heist went wrong and Graves was put in jail, thinking Twisted Fate betrayed him. However, after escaping and confronting Twisted Fate, they both forgot the past and continued swindling together.

4. Singed

The old Singed was a Zaun chemist who was talented in whatever he did. He eventually became an apprentice for Warwick to learn more about chemical crafting. When his master turned into a werewolf, Singed set out on a journey to showcase his work.

The new Singed is just characterized as a deranged chemist from Zaun who was self-taught at a young age. He now just seeks out more knowledge for his craft.

3. Warwick

Warwick was a hunter who used to hunt human specimens for experiments. He had underwent a transformation when his friend, Singed, gave him a potion to become stronger. After becoming a werewolf, Warwick slowly lost his human self and sought to seek out Soraka so his human form isn't lost forever.

In the new lore, Warwick is the creation of Singed instead. Warwick used to be a gang member until one day he awoke to find himself strapped inside Singed's lab for his experiment. Singed completely changed Warwick's human form into a blood-hungry hunter.

2. Orianna

Orianna is the daughter to a man named Corin Reveck, but later on dies due to her naiveté. Her father, stricken with grief, decides to recreate Orianna's body into a clockwork machine so she can fight in the League of Legends.

Now Orianna has an even descriptive lore that describes her timeline into becoming a clockwork body. Instead of getting the body she has now all at once, her father slowly builds her together until he starts to decline in health. 

The final change in Orianna is when she gives up her own heart to her dying father so he can keep on living. 

1. Varus

The old Varus lore stated that he was a warden for an Ionian temple and he had to fight off the attacking armies from Noxus. His mission in life was to get stronger so he could kill off all the Noxians.

His new lore, however, speaks of how two hunters are embedded into this demon spirit allowing him to regain human form to walk the Earth again.
