Maokai has some of the most fun skins in League of Legends because his saplings are some of the goofiest features in the game. Here's a look at his three best skins:
3. Goalkeeper Maokai
Goalkeeper Maokai appears in his soccer jersey, though most of his animations are the same as his original skin. The main difference is that his saplings are soccer balls with legs, even if they make the same noise as the other saplings.
2. Festive Maokai
Festive Maokai is similar to Goalkeeper Maokai in that his ability animations are mostly the same, with the exception of Sapling Toss and Nature's Grasp. In this case, Sapling Toss allows Maokai to throw a wrapped present instead of a sapling. This definitely added to the fun of leaving multiple saplings in a bush to surprise an opponent while simultaneously making it much more frustrating to be the opponent. Nature's Grasp appears differently as well with the boughs being decorated with holiday lights, adding to the festive nature of the skin.
1. Meowkai
All puns aside, this is a fantastic skin. Meowkai appears as himself wearing a sweater with a kitten's face on it. When he recalls he lays on the ground and plays with the kitten and ball of yarn that he carries around. All three of Meowkai's basic abilities shoot a small rainbow during the cast animation, making this skin great for goofing around with.
Instead of saplings, Meowkai throws his kitten which then chases enemies down. Even Nature's Grasp is significantly different, with the trees replaced by cats. The large number of differences in his animations, as well as appearance, makes Meowkai one of the most fun skins available in League of Legends.
